Cycle of Motion explores the interplay between movement and stillness. Movement is expressed through bicycle wheel-inspired rings and radiating ribbons in shifting gradients, which respond to the drifting wind and shifting sunlight, turning the structure into a constantly evolving canvas. At night, rotating ring lights transform the installation into a luminous beacon of motion. In contrast, stillness is embodied in the elevated viewing platform, accessed via a raised staircase. Inspired by the framing principles of traditional Chinese gardens, it acts as a lens to the distant horizon, a contemplative space that invites visitors to slow down and to observe nature. Together, these elements create a spatial dialogue that encourages both outward engagement and inward reflection.
