Tu by Tu is a multidisciplinary spatial design studio creating architecture, installations, interiors, and experiential environments that weave together art, culture, and everyday life. Its practice is rooted in material exploration, spatial storytelling, and context driven design, resulting in work that balances precision, playfulness, and narrative depth. Recent projects include Cycle of Motion and Drifting Sails at Go Park Aqua, as well as the award-winning installation Rhythm of the Dragon at High Island. Guided by the belief that design should meaningfully enrich the human experience, Tu by Tu creates spaces that unite beauty, functionality, and sustainability, evoking emotion and fostering lasting connection.

Kay Tu

As the founder of TU by TU, a UK-registered architect, Kays design philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that architecture and design should enrich the human experience. She aims to create spaces that seamlessly blend functionality, beauty, and sustainability. Her approach goes beyond mere aesthetics, focusing on how environments can evoke emotions, inspire creativity, and foster meaningful connections between people and their surroundings.

Throughout her career, She has practiced across London, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, each offering unique opportunities to merge cultural characteristics with innovative design solutions. As a former Lead Architect at Zaha Hadid Architects, she gained valuable experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects that pushed the boundaries of architectural innovation. Additionally, her contributions to the London Southwark Design Review Panel have helped elevate the quality of urban development, ensuring that design excellence is at the heart of community growth and revitalisation. Her work has been recognised with multiple awards and featured in esteemed publications such as the Architects Journal and ArchDaily.
